Was the Grant Cardone and Gary Vaynerchuk conference worth it?

Summary for those who don’t want to read the whole article (spoiler alert): No

This conference was billed as the ultimate business conference for those looking to boost their business. What it actually turned out to be was a two day pitch for various crappy get rich quick schemes by people whose only business experience was essentially this business pyramid scheme. They sell courses on how to sell courses to others and so you have a never ending business pyramid. The speakers were not advertised before the day and now I know why. If you google them, not much comes up. They have not spent years building up their experience before launching a new company. No, they have been on one of these courses and thought I can sell the same crap but put my name on it.

Gary Vaynerchuk actively states that you should not listen to any of these bullshit business speakers, and yet here he is appearing at a conference that does exactly what he says not to do. I had a ton of respect for him before this event, sadly not a shred of that respect remains. He has clearly sold his soul just for an appearance fee. If he claims different, and says that he is not in it for the money, then he is clearly delusional or has been spouting his own bullshit for so long he actually believes it.

Thankfully, I only paid £29 for each of my tickets (bought 2), but those people who spent £2500 for VIP tickets must be fuming. They have essentially paid £2500 to be sold to for two solid days. There was no business value whatsoever, unless you were looking for how to run the world’s most crappy event and enjoy exploiting thousands of people all in the name of business.

What saddened me more, was the people who had bought a bargain ticket like myself, who can clearly not afford to spend thousands, or tens of thousands of pounds on these fake gurus but who end up using their credit card to pay for more courses all based on false promises. Gary and Grant should be ashamed of themselves for allowing their names to attract people to this sham of a business conference.
